1. Upload shipment details & documents
Submit a clearance ticket online, we'll need some basic details, a commercial invoice and any related documents available.
Don't worry if you don’t have all the requested documents or info, when getting started. It can be updated at any time.
2. Collaborate with your personal agent
After submitting a clearance you will have access to your online workspace (ticket) where you can chat in real time with your agent, update any missing documents & check the status of your clearance.
This space will stay active throughout the life of your shipment
3. We process your clearance
Once your agent has confirmed they have all the necessary info and documents, everything is submitted to U.S. Customs electronically for release.
Clearit USA files all customs entries via secure EDI Link.
4. Your shipment is released
Upon successful authorization, we process your credit card on file and your goods are released! Ready for final destination.

Important things to expect When Clearing an OCEAN shipment
1.Importer Security Filing (ISF)
ISF is a document which is required to be filed with US Customs at least 48 hours prior to your goods leaving the port of origin. Most often it is filed by your broker, but some vendors will file on your behalf. Be sure to speak with your vendor and find out the status of your ISF filing.
2.Shipping Documents
Now that your ocean shipment is on its way, be sure to organize your shipping documents for your broker: Commercial invoice, Bill of lading, packing list, and any applicable trade certificate or PGA requirements should be submitted as soon as they become available.
3.Arrival Notice
After several weeks, your shipment will arrive at port. Several days prior, you will receive an Arrival notice from your freight forwarder indicating the warehouse of your goods. Be sure to forward the notice to your broker to ensure a smooth release.
4.Delivery
Depending on your shipping terms, your contact may be to port or to door. Should your terms be to port, Clearit USA can offer you a variety of final delivery options once your shipment has been offloaded and placed in a warehouse.

1.Shipping Documents
Keeping your shipping documents organized is key to a successful customs clearance: Commercial invoice, Airway bill, packing list, and any applicable trade certificate or PGA requirements Should all be submitted to your broker as soon as they become available.
2.Arrival Notice
Once Your Air shipment has departed, your freight forwarder will provide you with a copy of an Airway bill . Be sure to forward the notice to your broker to ensure a smooth release.
3.Delivery
Depending on your shipping terms, your contact may be to port or to door. Should your terms be to port, Clearit USA can offer you a variety of final delivery options once your shipment has been offloaded and placed in a warehouse.
Important things to expect When Clearing a truck shipment
1.Shipping Documents

Be sure to notify your transportation provider that Clearit USA is your customs broker
2.PAPS
Your transportation provider will reach out and coordinate with Clearit USA when your shipment becomes available for clearance. Clearit USA uses Pre-Arrival processing system or PAPS to secure a customs release prior to your truck shipment arriving at the border. Once cleared, your shipment is free to move to its final destination.
